The Asker CL-150 constant load stand eliminates the different speed and load variables which occur when testing samples with a durometer by hand. The test speed and load the durometer applies to the test sample is kept constant with air damper control and a standard weight. In addition, the unique flexible joint system enables the presser foot of the durometer to make perfect contact even on samples with inclined surfaces.
When an operator holds spring type durometer for measuring the hardness of rubber specimen by hand, the load applied from the durometer to the test specimen is not constant due to different pressure speed and force between operators. Therefore the durometer must be pressed to the test sample at the constant speed and force as far as possible. The Asker CL-150 Constant Load Tables eliminate such operator's errors. The data is then always reliable. Because applying speed and force of the durometer to the test specimen can be kept constantly by air damper control and weight which can be changed. In addition, the Asker CL-150 stand has a flexible joint system to make perfectly contact the presser foot of the durometer even inclined surface of the test specimen.
- The durometer's pressure force to the test specimen is always kept constantly by static load with weight.
