 The Sartorius Competence Series – CP for short – is the new basic series of balances for professional use in the laboratory. The CP sets completely new standards with its unique overall concept combining innovative design and highly advanced mechatronic technology. Five analytical balances – from 0.01 mg to 320 g – offer high-value product solutions for laboratory weighing applications at an excellent price/performance ratio.
Sartorius CP models are standard-equipped with the following performance features:
- Backlit LCD (model CP225D without backlighting) with 16.5 mm high digits
- All-glass draft shield
- Bidirectional RS-232 data interface
- Built-in, motorized calibration weight
- ISO/GLP-compliant recording and printing capability (in combination with the Sartorius printer, YDP03-0CE or a PC)
Just one glance tells you that the bold design of the balance provides the highest level of user-friendliness. For instance, the unique new triangular weighing pan shape on many CP models features a space-age design with down to earth usefulness. That means it provides more space than most common pan shapes.
More Convenience: Sartorius developed the functional design for the real world to ensure easy and reliable operation. The highly practical draft shield on the 0.01 mg and 0.1 mg models allows easy access for rapidly loading and unloading any sample because the smooth-action doors open extremely wide. All parts on the draft shield are simple to remove for especially easy cleaning.
The draft shield on the 1 mg models features a new design for high flexibility during weighing. The hinged cover attached on one side ensures optimal loading of samples. The removable side panels provide easy access to the pan from the sides.
The backlit display with its exceptionally large digits is especially easy to read (Note that the CP2P, CP2P-F and CP225D do not have backlighting) .
Activated at the touch of a key, the built-in motorized calibration weight in the 0.001 mg, 0.01 mg and 0.1 mg models ensures the highest weighing accuracy at any time.

All Sartorius CP balances have an RS-232C port for communication with a PC, an analytical instrument or a robot
All balance-generated data can be recorded or printed out in compliance with ISO | GLP protocols so that the CP laboratory balance can be used in a quality management system.
For additional applications, such as percentage weighing, net-total formulation, dynamic weighing or animal weighing, mass unit conversion by toggling, and counting, the Sartorius CP offers these easy to run application programs as standard features.

CP2P Microbalances: With the Sartorius CP2P you can successfully combine affordability with precision in the micro ranges for the first time. Sartorius innovative monolithic weigh cell technology is now available in the micro ranges making the CP2P a must for those working with extremely small samples. Combining an all glass draft shield with smooth-action doors, rugged stainless steel pan and an easy to read display, the CP2P has it all.
CP2P-F Filter Weighing Microbalance: Designed for use with weighing filters up to 120mm, this unit is ideal for air quality and emission testing. The special stainless steel filter pan and rotatable cover virtually eliminates static electricity. The Sartorius monolithic weigh cell technology is also incorporated into the CP2P-F balance. Features like automatic calibration at the press of a key and user friendly operation are standard.

Polyrange allows high resolution (0.5g) with heavier tare containers. The Polyrange offers greater readability for smaller sample weights. Here's how it works - In the high resolution mode and your weighing samples between 0 to 0.5 grams the CP2P display will increment in 0.001mg intervals. When the capacity on the platform is in the range of 0.5 to 1g the display resolution will increment in 0.002mg intervals. Finally if your weighing samples 1 to 2 g the display resolution will increment in 0.005 mg intervals. So as the weighing capacity increase the display resolution decreases. No matter how the balance is used the total cumulative weighing capacity on the weighing platform can never exceed 2 grams.

Sartorius YDP03-OCE Statistical Printer

The Sartorius YDP03-OCE data printer has a built-in real-time clock and statistics programs -- designed for Sartorius balances equipped with an RS-232 interface. Text and data are printed with up to 24 characters per line and the unit is equipped with a real-time clock. A high contrast LCD shows the date or time as well as the current transaction number and integrated rechargeable batteries with battery level indicator. The printer runs on the balance's power -- no separate power supply is necessary. Easy to change paper roll and ink ribbon cassette.
The Sartorius YDP03-OCE data printer meets the quality standards of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in compliance with the requirements of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP(Good manufacturing Practice).
In addition to recording individual weighing data the data printer can generate a statistical evaluation of weighing data. All values transferred from an on-line weighing instrument are stored. The following can be computed/printed out.
- Number of weighing operations
- Mean value
- Standard deviation
- Variation coefficient
- Minimum value/weight
- Maximum vale/weight
- Difference between the maximum and minimum value/weight
The Sartorius YDP03-OCE data printer is powered by the Sartorius Balance via the printer cable that is supplied with the YDP03-OCE data printer. Turning ON the Sartorius balance when the printer is connected will automatically turn ON the printer. The rechargeable batteries with be charging when printer is not in use, but the balance is turned ON. The Sartorius YDP03-OCE uses a standard paper roll 57.5 mm ±0.5mm with a maximum diameter of 65mm.
